The base component for render mix, Plastering Sand is mixed with other materials such as cement, lime and water to achieve the desired mix (please consult a plasterer for mix ratios) As a naturally occurring product, Plastering Sand varies in colour between quarries in Perth and is typically a slightly lighter colour from North of the River quarries. Plastering Sand can also be used as paving sand but does not compact quite as well as Brickies Sand due to its lower clay and fine silt content. However it is generally easier to screed (level off) due to the lower clay and fine silt content in the sand reducing the likelihood of a crust forming on the surface.

We also offer a Blended Plastering Sand which is a lighter creamy colour as a result of blending with white sand. Additional charges apply for this product dependent on delivery suburb, so please enquire for more information.
